What do I need to get a library card?

A current government-issued photo ID with up-to-date address is all you need. If the address isn’t current, then you’ll need to show some proof of address like a utility bill, lease, or insurance card.

As long as you live in Texas, it’s free to get a new card. It’s $1 for a replacement card. If you live outside of Texas, a library card costs $40/year.
