How do I obtain authorization to discharge industrial wastewater into the sanitary sewer system?

How do I obtain authorization to discharge industrial wastewater into the sanitary sewer system?
To obtain authorization to discharge industrial wastewater, you must submit a permit application to the Pretreatment Services Department. Please contact a member of the Pretreatment Services Department at 903-892-7036.

How often do I need to pump my grease trap / interceptor?
Section 13.07.827 requires grease interceptors to be pumped as often as necessary to ensure the efficiency and integrity of the treatment device; to ensure the discharge is compliant with screening limits, local discharge limits or requirements specified in this division; and to ensure no visible grease or oil is observed in the user’s discharge, although at a minimum of every 90 days.

How do I know what size grease trap or interceptor is needed for my food service establishment?
A drawing of the food service area, including all drains and equipment, is required to determine the minimum grease trap capacity. To schedule a plan review appointment, please contact a member of the Pretreatment Services Department at 903-892-7036.
