The Friends of the Library will hold a Book Review Event at the library on Wednesday, December 7 at noon. The speaker will be Cary McDougal, and she will be reviewing GRACE WILL LEAD US HOME: THE CHARLESTON CHURCH MASSACRE AND THE HARD, INSPIRING JOURNEY TO FORGIVENESS by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jennifer Berry Hawes. This deeply moving work of narrative nonfiction on the tragic shootings at the Mother Emanuel AME church in Charleston, South Carolina was named a New York Times Notable Book of 2019. The book review is free and open to the public, but registration is required - to register, call the library at 903-892-7240 or ask at the front desk.
