Edward Gorey is famous for his creepily charming art in everything from the title sequences of the classic Mystery! series on PBS to his books like The Gashlycrumb Tinies, The Doubtful Guest and many more. At the Friends of the Library Book Review Event on Weds. Nov. 2 at 12pm, Vickie Hodges, retired professor from San Jacinto College in Houston, will review Mark Dery's definitive biography of Gorey, Born to Be Posthumous: The Eccentric Life and Mysterious Genius of Edward Gorey. The book review is free and open to the public, but registration is required - to register, call the library at 903-892-7240 or ask at the front desk.
