Priority Three Call

  • Any incident, not in progress, that involves a minor violation or offense;
  • Any incident that involves non-criminal related services such as parking violation, traffic services, etc.
  • Any non-violent misdemeanor that is not "in progress" and because of its nature cannot be referred to the Telephone Reporting Unit.

Time Limitations
Priority Three calls should be dispatched within forty-five (45) minutes of the time the call is received. If the beat officer is not available, and it is not likely that they will be available within forty-five minutes, the call should be assigned to the closest available officer.

This guideline should be viewed as a desired result. It is recognized that there will be occasions when it may not be possible to follow this guideline exactly.
