Senior Citizen Center

The City of Sherman welcomes adults age 50 and over to the Senior Center. We strive to enhance the quality of life for our senior citizens by offering a program whose focus is on health, recreation, nutrition and economic awareness.
We offer a wide variety of activities, including special events, classes and day trips.

Meals on Wheels of Texoma offers lunch daily at the Senior Center. You must be 60 years of age to apply for the meal program. Contact the Meals on Wheels office at 903-892-3733 for more information.

                               Quilt Fundraiser
The Sherman Quilt Makers Guild has created a stunning quilt measuring 70 by 84 inches to help the Senior Center facility raise funds to buy tables for the Community Room at the Center. The tables will be used for arts, crafts, and much more quilting. Raffle tickets are available through the Sherman Quilt Makers or at the Sherman Senior Center now through October 23.

Tickets are $1.00 per chance or $5.00 for six chances.

The quilt will be given away this fall, Monday, October 26, at the Trunk or Treats Senior Event at the City of Sherman's Municipal Ballroom 405 N. Rusk St. You do not need to be present to win.
