The mission of this department is to provide quality human resource services through value-added and innovative initiatives designed to support the organizational goals of the City of Sherman, Texas.

Responsibilities

The Human Resources Department is responsible for:
  • Administration of all employee group benefit plans
  • Administration of all position classification and compensation plans
  • Assisting all operating departments with their human resources related needs
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Maintenance of employee personnel records
